Extreme Grandparenting

Grandparenthood is far more than rocking chairs. It is a second chance to do all of the "ought-tos" & "should-haves" that the busyness and demands of daily parenthood kept you from doing. Grandparenthood allows you to play a key role in writing the history of a generation that you will some day leave in charge. This is an 8-week class, and we will meet in the Foyer.

Financial Peace UniversityThis 13 week class presents biblical, practical steps on how to get rid of debt, manage your money and spend and save wisely. Cost is $109 per household. Payment for this class will be due by September 10 so materials can be ordered.  We will meet in the Fireside Room.

This study of the Epistle of Paul to the Philippians teaches that God did not create us merely to exist or to be dutiful workers, but to thrive in a life of joy. Prayer is an opportunity to experience joy. The fact that Jesus has forgiven us produces joy. And sharing that fact with others produces even more joy. Finally, when we focus on Christ and doing His will, joy and peace will flood our lives as we join God in His work by allowing Him to work through us to benefit others.

The joy the Apostle Paul described to the Philippians makes it possible for believers to live in love and humility, even as Christ did, in the harshest situations. In this way believers can become more and more like Christ.

Meet in Pastor Jason's office.

 October 2017 events

Do you love the outdoors?  Do you want to be fit?  Trekkers may be for you.

In the winter, we cross country ski from either the Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center or the Meissner or Swampy Lakes snow parks. Our hiking trips take us from the desert in the early spring to high alpine meadows in the summer and fall.  Wildflower, river trail and old growth forest hikes are included.  Hikes range from easy to difficult and from three to ten miles in length.

If you'd like to be on the weekly call or email list letting you know what time and where Thursday's outing will be, please contact the church office.
