The Church of the Nazarene worldwide believes in the value of missions.  We here at Bend Nazarene agree.  We want to reach the world with the Message of Jesus Christ.  Here are a few ways that you can get involved:

    Faith PromiseFaith Promise

The Church of the Nazarene acknowledges that Faith Promise giving is a biblical method used by many local churches for raising financial support for world evangelization. For our denomination, it is dedicated specifically to the mission support of the Church of the Nazarene through various offerings promoted by Nazarene Missions International (NMI).  Bend Naz promotes our Faith Promise giving every year during a special event weekend.

Faith Promise 2017 will be held March 4 & 5 with missionaries Kevin & Jenni Campbell-White who will share about their new calling and mission to Thailand.

    •  Saturday - Men's Breakfast, 8:30am in the Fireside Room
    •  Saturday - Ladies Luncheon, noon in the Fireside Room
    •  Sunday - Faith Promise Service, 9am & 10:30am

    image001Native American Christian Academy

The Native American Christian Academy, previously Sun Valley Indian School, is located in Holbrook Arizona. It is a boarding school for Native Americans and has been educating children for 45 years. We help here at our church by saving Box Tops for Education and Campbell's Labels for Education labels for them. They have used labels saved from all over North American to buy passenger vans, computers and athletic equipment. If you are interested in helping, save the Box Top Labels and UPC code with Labels for Education Logo from approved products. You can drop the labels off at the Welcome Center. For a list of these and more information about the school, go to their website: www.indianschool.org

These "love gifts" are transformed into buildings and property sites around the world. Alabaster boxes are available at the Connection Center in the church Foyer for you to use.  Alabaster offerings are received twice a year but may be dropped off at the Church Office at any time.

    LINKS logoLINKS

The LINKS program of the Church of the Nazarene is a network of personal connections between missionaries and Nazarenes around the world. Missionaries are assigned to districts and, then on the district level, connected to local churches. This gives each church an opportunity to become personally acquainted with the missionary family and their field of service. Typically, churches send cards, cash gifts, packages, and other remembrances to their LINKS missionaries.

Our LINKS missionaries for 2014-2016 are Scott & Emily Armstrong and their two children.  Scott and Emily are global missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene and have been ministering in the Mesoamerica (formerly Mexico and Central America) Regional Office since January 2004. Scott and Emily are co-coordinating Mesoamerica Global Mission and Mesoamerica Genesis. Global Mission seeks to discover, develop and deploy missionaries from the countries of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Genesis is a regional initiative to make Christ-like disciples in the Urban Centers of Mesoamerica; teams of 4 volunteer missionaries will be assigned to 28 strategic sites develop new church plants and organized congregations by the year 2020.

Since 2004, the Armstrongs have served under the structure of the Mesoamerica Regional Office and have lived in Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama and have coordinated ministries of NYI and Regional Missionary Personnel, in addition to Global Mission. Currently they are living in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
